Everyone loves a sloth. This free crochet pattern is for the fluffiest, cuddliest, amigurumi sloth you will ever hug. Amelia is an update of a pattern for a large Hoffmann’s Two-Toed Sloth.
While the three-toed sloth is much more famous, I fell in love with the two-toed sloth at my favorite zoo, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs. They don’t have the characteristic mask of their cousin. Instead, their expression is more peaceful and their nose more like a boop-able pig snout.
Pattern is written in English, in US terms, using Craft Yarn Council abbreviations.
Advanced pattern. Need to have knowledge of single crochet (sc), double crochet (dc), slip stitch (sl st), right side (RS), wrong side (WS), increases and decreases, and amigurumi part attachment. Knowledge of loop stitch useful, but an eagerness to learn is a great substitute.
