The cowl is knitted in the round, like a long tube and folded in half to create a double-sided cowl, warm and that holds nicely around the neck. After a provisional cast-on, the color work is knitted, it is the outside face. In keeping with it, the inner face is worked. It is made up in contrast color and has a slightly narrower circumference to allow the collar to properly surround the neck without sagging.
