Anne's secret garden baby blanket

Inspiration for this baby blanket comes from my first and only niece - Anne. It is fully reversible and has a leafy structure from the “right” side and vines from the “wrong” side. Of course, when my younger daughter saw the blanket for her cousin, she immediately requested one for herself, and so the toddler sized sample was made.

ConstructionThe blanket has a rectangle shape worked in a two-colored, syncopated brioche with a leafy pattern. It starts with a two-colored tubular cast-on. First repeats are worked in a two-colored brioche, then in the middle of the row syncopated brioche is introduced and expanded to add an oval-shaped contrast color pattern in the middle of the blanket. Towards the top of the blanket syncopated brioche is slowly reduced and the blanket is finished as it started - in a two-colored leafy pattern, ending with tubular bind-off.
