These fun, frivolous ankle socks make ace Christmas gifts, are ideal for warm-weather knitting and are perfect for wearing during spring or autumn when you want to keep your feet cosy.
They’re great for grown-up kids as well as small ones, so the sizes in the pattern range from adults to children. Because they’re so short they knit up in no time, and the pattern keeps your interest all the way from the bubbly reverse stockinette over the ankle through to the simple pattern creating bubbles fizzing up the foot.
You can make most sizes with just 50g of sock yarn for the main colour paired with leftovers from your stash, AND you get the choice of a short-row or decrease toe. Cast these lovelies on and knit them up while enjoying a glass of your favourite bubbles! The sample socks were knitted in the medium size with a short-row toe, while enjoying a G&T. I used Sundara Sock yarn for the main colour in ‘Beach glass’, and Regia Extra Twist Merino for the contrast colour.
