This bookmark is a lovely quick project, which will create a tactile yet practical bookmark, ideal for gifting to a booklover. The central rope cable design is edged with seed stitch, and is formed by a simple 4 row repeat pattern. If you are new to cabling, this is the ideal pattern to get you started, as the worked area is so small, and the project is satisfyingly quick to knit. The finished bookmark measures around 2 ¼ inches x 6 ½ inches/6 cm x 16.5 cm, but the length can easily be increased by working more cable repeats.
