The Aran Diamond Cafetière Cosy uses a traditional Aran diamond stitch pattern to work a rectangular cosy shape, which is finished by knitting three tabs with buttonholes. The seed stitch from the centre diamonds is echoed in the border, although the central diamond can easily be left plain for knitters less confident in their ability to work consistent seed stitch.
One size is given, to suit a standard 8-cup French press/cafetiere.
As a knitter from the Aran Islands, I love taking traditional motifs, and adapting them to suit modern lifestyles.
