Atomic sea food platter

This life-size and life-like sea food platter containsa mouthwatering selection of shrimp, mussels, anchovies and is gorgeously garnished with lettuce and zesty slices of lemon and lime.

The sea food can be made with 1.2 mm double pointed needles and lace yarn (in miniature) or on thicker needles in heavier yarn. This serving of sea food salad actually glows in the dark! Just adding a strand of luminescent sewing yarn to your knit, will do the trick. It is a great project to use up any scraps you have lying around, in any possible color and gauge!

I’ve added strands of Gütermann Glowy 40 glow-in-the-dark sewing yarn in different colors for several ingredients and metallic DMC yarn for the anchovy.

This is an easy to medium project, with some color and textural work (stripes and a bobble), embroidery on the citrus fruit and simple crocheting on the shrimp. The ingredients of this aqueous meal are life-sized and vary between 4 and 7 cm.
