Avery Cardigan Bloomers and Bonnet

These patterns are of confident beginner difficulty. The cardigan & bonnet can be made in 4 sizes, with an additional newborn size given for the bloomers.

Each pattern is also available separately if you prefer.

The cardigan is worked from the top down in one piece, so the use of circular needles for the body and DPNs or magic loop method for the sleeves is recommended. The body is worked in an open cable stitch, with sleeves in stocking stitch.

Bloomers are worked in the round, top down, with one seam at the gusset.

The bonnet is made in one piece, back and forth, with the back section closed in the round with DPNs. It is designed to be a fairly close-fitting, traditional bonnet, so if you prefer a loose fit, then size up where possible.

Sizes: 0-3m (3-6m, 6-12m, 12-24m), plus additional Newborn size for bloomers.

Needles: (Circular & DPNs) 3.50mm & 4.00mm, plus cable needle.

Yarn: DK; Cardigan - 50g x 3 (3, 3,4) balls, Bloomers - 50g x 2 (2, 2, 2, 3) balls, Bonnet 50g x 1 (1, 2, 2) balls
