Aviaja neck

Braid

The braid in the center is created using 2 kind of cables: one where the first 5 stitches are held in front of the work on a cable needle and one where the middle 5 stitches are held behind the work on a cable needle. This is thoroughly described in the pattern.

Knitting gauge

The Aviaja neck has a gauge of 10x10 cm on 17 sts x 22 rows on 4,5 mm needles in a stockinette stitch.

In ribbing (k 1, p 1) in the turtleneck it has a gauge of 10x10 cm on 22 sts x 22 rows on 4 mm needles (measured when the ribbing lies flat and is not being stretched or blocked).
