Baby Brite Blanket

Beautiful and bright, this baby blanket is the perfect gift for every little one! Made with Lion Brand Mandala yarn it is light weight, yet warm and snuggly.

This blanket starts with a small granny square for 3 rounds and then is worked back and forth on 2 sides only. For the main body of the blanket 1 row includes 2 sides. Each row will increase by 4 st, 2 st on each side at the corner. The border is worked as one round of single crochet for a foundation row, then perpendicular to the blanket edge making a back loop only ribbing with increases and decreases to give it a great ruffled look.

Skills used include: slip stitch, chain, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, treble crochet, treble X stitch (explained in special stitches), Back Loop Only hdc

While gauge isn't essential for this project, to get the finished measurements - In double crochet - 9 rows and 15 stitches = 4 in (10 cm)
