This crochet pattern is for a baby Checkered beanie, much needed in winter days; it's very pretty and cosy and could be a lovely gift :)
The pattern works well with two colours, but you can make it much more colourful if you like.
The hat will fit a 6-12 months old baby but is stretchy so could probably fit to a later age. Head circumference is about: 17.5" (44cm) Hat height is about: 6.5" (16cm)
This is a really fun pattern, using standard crochet stitches and Tunisian Entrelac crochet stitches, which are described in detail. These are great to crochet, you will learn them with this pattern (if you don’t know them already), and could use them in future projects.
