A perfect St Patrick's Day hat, great for a photo prop or for fun.
This pattern is written for a newborn size only and uses US crochet terms.
I used Scheepjes Roma Big in bright green, and Drops Cotton Light for the band and buckle, but any super bulky yarn and DK weight for the band will work just as well. The newborn hat doesn't use a lot of yarn and (about half the skein of Scheepjes), and works up really quickly.

- To make the band, use a cotton yarn. I used Drops Cotton Light in yellow and black. If you have something similar (DK) in your stash, use that!
