Adult Shawl or Scarf. Easy to Intermediate. DK/light worsted.
Beach Shawl is a lovely summery cover-up, for days by the sea or relaxing in the back garden with a book and a drink - summer evenings often need a little extra layer. It is quite shallow and wide, so could also be worn back-to-front as a scarf in the winter.
An easy knit for the confident beginner and yet interesting enough for the experienced knitter who likes to knit and natter. Skills needed are cast/bind on and off, knit and purl stitches, yarn forward and knit 2 together. James C Brett Northern Lights has been used, although most dk/light worsted yarns should be fine. Instructions are written clearly line by line in English, with British/US terms.
One edge of the shawl stays straight, and the other increases, then decreases to make a triangle shape. The lower edge has teeth!
