Say hello to the bees. They live in a beehive in the middle of a flower and love nothing better than visiting all the other pretty flowers to collect nectar. Make a bee family with as many different expressions and characters as your own family.
This pattern is written with US crochet notation and is an intermediate level pattern, some crochet knowledge of basic stitches is required. Step by step photographs are provided throughout the pattern.
Using the materials suggested this flower hive measures 29cm (11½in) wide, each bee is 11cm (4¼in) tall. Any yarn can be used with this pattern with an appropriate size crochet hook to create a tight tension, although other yarns may affect the size of the finished bees. Suggested materials: DK (8ply) 60% cotton, 40% acrylic yarn, 3mm crochet hook, safety eyes and toy stuffing.
