Before Spring shawl is a shawlette in luscious Aran weight merino/silk for late Winter-not-yet-Spring when you still want a little warmth but are wishing for Spring! Instructions for making a larger size are included.
Finished Size: Unblocked 17” depth, 44” wingspan. Blocked, 20” depth, 50” wingspan. Easily adjustable.
Yarn: Avalon Springs Farm Glass Isle, 50% Merino/50% Cultivated Silk, 200 yards/3.5 ounces. Sample knit with 5.3 ounces/300 yards in Goblin Tail.
Needles: 32” circular needle, size US 7 (4.5mm), or size to obtain gauge.
Gauge: 16 stitches/28 rows per 4 inches in wet-blocked stockinette stitch; gauge is not critical for this item but will affect size, yardage used, and drape.
