Alternating cables that incorporate a touch of lace add texture and dimension to the Bellejouanne Tam. The tam is worked from the bottom up and in-the-round. Instructions are provided for a turned hem brim or a 1 x 1 rib brim.
Both written and charted instructions are included.
Yarn: 195 -220 yards (178.3 – 201.2 meters) Worsted weight if using wool or wool blends DK weight if using alpaca or other animal fiber with less memory
Wool and wool blends will tend to have more memory and will spring back to shape. A luxury blend such as Road to China Light will have a softer drape and less memory, so a lighter weight is recommended.
