Named Benete, an old Danish name short for Benedikte, is this reversible cabled scarf. Wear it as a scarf, a shawl or together with the matching jacket Moia to create a second collar. Benete is knitted in the soft, chainette Woolfolk Får yarn.
Finished measurements: Width: 18 cm/7” Length: 175 cm/69”
Yarn: Woolfolk, Får (100% Merino Wool, 50 g, 130 m/142 yds). Sample is knitted in 27 Gold: 4 skeins; 520 m/568 yds.
Needles: 4.5 mm/US 7 straight needles. Adjust needle size as needed to match gauge.
Notions: Stitch markers (removable), cable needle (cn) and yarn needle.
Gauge: 19 sts and 28 rows in St st using 4.5 mm/US 7 needle measures 10 cm/4” square after blocking. 50 sts in cable using 4.5 mm/US 7 needle measures about 17 cm/6.75” across after blocking.
Notes: The scarf is worked back and forth in rows with all stitches in cable pattern except the two selvedge stitches, which are worked in stockinette stitch.
