Black Forest

Black Forest is a unique community just north of Colorado Springs. It is a picturesque area with beautiful, tall fir trees. Numerous houses and businesses are tucked in the beautiful setting. On June 11, 2013 a wildfire broke out and raged out of control for a few days. It destroyed over 500 homes, several businesses; acres of the tall fir trees and sadly, two people lost their lives.

Thanks to the efforts of brave firefighters over 2,000 structures were saved and along with them Table Rock Llamas Fiber Arts Studio. The yarn used for the model scarf was purchased at Table Rock Llamas after it reopened.
