This hat is a traditional deep-fitted style bonnet, providing cover for the ears and back of the neck, knitted using a series of increases and decreases for shaping, with I-cord straps. This stitch gives the hat lots of stretch, so it will fit the sizes given without stretch, but will fit beyond this age if you are happy with a closer fit.
Sizes: 0-3m (3-6m, 6-12m)
Needles: 4mm (US 6) straight or circular, plus cable needle
Yarn: DK 50g x 1 (1, 2) balls
