The hat does not have a lot of give so the pattern is written with small and large sizes. It uses an aran weight yarn. I used Red Heart Midnight.
This is an intermediate crochet pattern. It has post stitches, shaping, increasing and decreasing. The instructions for each stitch are included with the pattern including visual instructions.
