Bumblebee Baby Hat

I’ve been wanting to do a bumblebee hat for a while now and originally the plan was to do it in a stockinette stitch. Just before starting, I found out that one of my coworkers loooooves bees, so I just had to make this hat for her 3 yr old (for the record, she says she can hardly get him to take it off!!) Unfortunately, using a stockinette stitch for a child made the hat just way too big, so I defaulted to one of my all time favorite stitches instead, and I couldn’t be happier with how he turned out!!!

Circumference (unstretched): 11”, 12.5”, 14”, 15”

Length (not including the antennae): 5.75”, 7.25”, 7.75”, 8.5”

21S x 30R = 4” in stockinette stitch on US 7

Lion Brand Yarn 24/7 Cotton

--> Less than 1 ball each: black, lemon & white
