Bunkhouse Beanie

sThis is a design inspired by my local bunkhouse in Rothbury, called Thomlinsons. Its a gathering place for walkers and Cyclists and other out door types. Its a great place to gab a coffee and people watch.

This Bunkhouse is a versatile bobble hat, that can be easily adjusted and customized. Its worked in chunky yarn but could easily be made in 2 strands of DK to create a marled effect.

I've created this hat using my brand new British yarn called BareFaced. Its a glorious blend of British Wool and Baby Alpaca. Its ever so soft but has just enough bite to make the stitches pop and keep you warm of course. Its available only on my website at the moment and a couple of selected UK stockists

Try Cascade Eco wool as an alternative

This hat is worked sideways, with a centre back seam and picked up ribbed cuff. The body of the hat is worked on larger needles and the rib in smaller needles for a snug fit. You could work in the same size needles throughout but your cuff will be a little looser.
