With the 80th anniversary of the D Day landings looming, this C47 would make a great addition to your displays or post box topper. Although I knitted mine on double pointed needles to avoid seaming such small pieces, it would easily convert for those who prefer knitting on straight needles. Again although I used cardboard inserts and also wire for the propellers , you could leave these out if you were creating a toy. pattern includes details measurements and templates for the cardboard pieces
Using materials listed gives an aircraft with a 26cm(10 inch) wingspan and a length of 17cm (6¾ inches)
