Sketch
A classic jacket, very warm, with a close weave that provides resistance to frost and winds. Casually styled to suit both boys and girls. The comfortable fit for children is a bit looser to accommodate extra layers underneath. Also sized for babies with less ease. Pattern alteration instructions allow adjustment for your personal gauge or body proportions.
Construction
Worked from the top downwards without seams in an easy crochet moss stitch. The shaped shawl collar is integrated with the body of the jacket. Straight body profile with optional waist shaping, adjustable hem length, sloped shoulders, tapered raglan sleeves, adjustable front edges that can meet at the centre or overlap.
Features
Presents a good showpiece for variegated yarns because of its smooth fabric. Alternatively, textured stitches or surface embellishment may be used with a plain yarn, and a technique is provided.
