Carmen is the third shawl in my series of patterns inspired by glamorous Hollywood stars of the past. This stole is reminiscent of the lovely Rita Hayworth and her role in Carmen.
It features a wide rectangle shape made up of join-as-you-go motifs with a Spanish Flair. Depending on the yarn selected, Carmen is perfect for a special evening out or a day at the park.
The pattern calls for chains, single, double and treble crochet, clusters, and attaching new yarn. Written instructions, photos, and charts. Instructions are provided for three sizes, a wide 21 motif shawl (1100 yds), a 14 motif shawl (800 yds), and a 7 motif scarf (500 yds.). Details are included for joining the motifs, and there is no sewing involved.
