Despite using some plain grey sock yarn for the cabled edge, the finished scarf feels very luxurious and looks very elegant because of the wonderful and bright sock yarn center panel. With a little bit of effort this scarf can be accomplished by an adventurous beginning knitter. There are just a few wrong side rows with patterning, all the lace is accomplished in right side rows only.
