This hat is knitted in the round, so you will need 4mm dpns for the top of the hat.
This hat starts with a simple rib and then goes into my favourite ridge stitch, this time I played around with yarns and used a variegated one in the spaces between the pronounced ridges, so you get a twinkle of colours depending on how you wear the hat.
You can wear it like a loose beanie with the ribbing flat or you can make a brim by turning the ribbing up and creating a snug fitted hat.
