Charlie chick is a wonderful springtime and Easter pattern. He has a soft round huggable body and head and would make a lovely gift.
Charlie is knitted flat on straight needles and is seamed down the back. I have used chunky yarn on 4.5 mm needles for the pictured chick, but dk and aran yarn will also work for this pattern. i have advised on different needle sizes which are suitable for different yarns thicknesses in the pattern too.
Head and body are knitted in one piece so there is less ewing up at the end with only the feet, wings and beak to attach speratley.
