These socks are a fantastic combination of lovely yarn and pretty lace pattern, reminding of dragon scales. They are easy to knit and yield striking results, especially when you are using solid colours or tonal yarns. The socks build a set with the Chase the Dragon Mitts
This pattern is suitable for beginners with basic knowledge.
Techniques used are: – knitting in the round – simple decreases – German short rows (for the heel – tutorial included in this pattern) and – yarn overs.
What you need:
- 60-90g sock yarn (depending on size)
- 5double pointed needles (or cable needle) 2.5 or 3mm (Pattern is written for dpns)
- 1 stitch marker
- Tapestry needle to sew in ends
