The fabric design is worked in larger sections of contrasting texture to make great use of a marled or speckled yarn and of course, a solid or heathered shade as well. The yummy, two-tone cable adds just a bit more depth and interest. This is easy knitting at its best—almost every row of the pattern is worked the same on the right and wrong side, so it makes a great beginner or travel project.
