Knit our Short Sleeved Dress and Sleeveless Dress suitable to fit a child from birth to 7 years old.
Design
The dresses have a little flower design and moss stitch edgings. The front, back and sleeves are knitted separately on straight needles and sewn together. Stitches are picked up to complete the neckline and for the opening at the back. For the Sleeveless Dress, stitches are picked up to finish off the armhole edges.
Sizes
The pattern includes 6 sizes to fit Child: 0-6 mths, 6-12 mths, 1-2 yrs, 2-3 yrs, 4-5 yrs and 6-7 years old.
Yarn
The pattern uses double knitting wool (an alternative yarn for overseas knitters would be USA light worsted or Australian 8 ply).
The picture shows the 6-12 months size knitted using Sirdar Snuggly DK in shade Pebble (524) for Short Sleeved Dress and Precious (187) for the Sleeveless Dress.
