Knit our Sundress suitable to fit a child from 6 months to 2 years old. The instructions are for 4 sizes: 6, 12, 18 and 24 months.
This summer dress has a wavy repeat pattern for the skirt and the yoke is completed in stocking stitch and garter stitch. The front and back are knitted separately on straight needles and the sides sewn together.
The pattern uses double-knitting wool. An alternative would be USA light worsted or Australian 8 ply for international knitters. You will also need size 3.25 mm (US 3) and 4 mm (US 6) straight needles and 4 buttons.
The picture shows the 24 month old size knitted using Rico Baby Classic DK in shades Ice Blue (023) and White (001).
