Christmas Applique Ornaments

The patterns are accompanied by descriptions of how to decorate these ornaments. However, this is purely optional and is given as inspiration. I kindly invite you to use your imagination, as well as the materials you have at hand to create unique and eye-catching ornaments. Supplies: Yarn and hook: Sport yarn of your choice and a 3mm hook (UK11) (US 10/3). I worked with the brand Phil Cotton 3 /Tango. Also to get various sizes you might try using other yarn weights. Stitches: chain (ch), chain space (ch-sp), slip stitch (sl st), single crochet (sc), double crochet (dc), dc2tog/dc3tog, half double crochet (hdc), treble (tr), picot. American terminology used. Other materials: For decorating the ornaments I used all sorts of beads (mostly seed) and pearls, sequins and ribbons. You will also need a sewing needle (and thread) to sew the beads and a tapestry needle to finish tails.
