Christmas Bauble African Flower Style

This is a pattern for making a crochet cover for a Christmas ball in African Flower style. The African Flower crochet pattern has a hexagon shape, so I changed the pattern a bit, in order to have it lay nicely over the plastic bauble. It was so much fun to make them!

You can use all kinds of colors, and using metalic thread makes it even more festive!

Color suggestions:

Christmas colors: white, red, green, yellow, silver or gold metalic.

Delft Blue: white, all different shades of blue, silver metalic.

Pastel: all different pastel shades, silver or gold metalic.

Retro: yellow, orange, brown, beige, green, gold metalic.

Supplies:

Leftover yarn, 100% cotton is best

Metalic yarn

Transparent plastic baubles 2.36 inch / 6 centimeter diameter or high

Crochet hook US E-4 / 3.5 mm

Crochet hook US D-3 / 3.25 or 3.00 mm if you crochet very loose

Sewing needle shart point with large eye
