This is a pattern for Christmas Placemats, originally published in the Winter Knitting Bookazine from Future publishers. They are knitted in intarsia with embroidery added afterwards. The first is a fir tree with Christmas decorations embroidered. The second has three snowmen with snowflakes embroidered around them. The edges are in garter stitch. The yarn amounts are for the main colours. You will also need a small amount of the rest of the contrast colours. (mustard, cherry, nougat). Photo Future Publishing.
