Chunky Comfort Blanket

My latest blanket design consists of a rather easily memorized two-row lace pattern that, worked in a yarn with long color runs, does the bulk of the heavy design lifting. Use the double trim rows along the border as a color anchor: for this jewel-toned main yarn, a drab olive was perfect.

This was one of my favorite projects to work up in the evening – I always looked forward to taking it out, and was slightly disappointed when it was finished.
