Cider Donut Shawl

I designed this pattern to be very flexible in terms of gauge, size, and yarn weight needed. It's a great way to use handpaints, gradients, coordinating solids, or any other favorites. To use with different yarn weights, pick a needle size a bit bigger than is typically recommended for the yarn weight. You want a nice drape to your garter stitch. 200 grams of yarn, whether fingering weight (as shown) or scaled to DK, makes a generous scarf/shawl hybrid.

Most of the knitting is somewhere between “relaxing” and “boring” so it’s perfect to work on while you socialize, watch TV, or listen to podcasts or music. I’ve included instructions for the three variations pictured here, but you should definitely experiment with your own ideas.
