This beginner-friendly hat is crocheted flat and then seamed. Follow the Pattern Notes to easily customize this pattern to fit another sized head.

Skills Used Basic crochet stitches: chain, double crochet, single crochet Crocheting flat in rows, seaming (with linked tutorials)
Materials Patons Alpaca Blend yarn – 1 skein each in 01018 Ultraviolet (CA) and 01002 Smoke (CB), or approximately 138 yd (126 m) in each of 2 colors in any bulky weight yarn.
US K-10.5/6.5 mm crochet hook, or any size needed to obtain correct gauge.
Yarn needle.
Clover Extra-Large Pom Pom Maker (optional).
Gauge 12 sts = 4” (10 cm) across in pattern. Exact gauge is not critical for this project.
