I have designed this easy crochet bag with basic crochet stitches using US terminology of chains, single crochet, half double crochets and double crochet stitches so it is not complicated but still has an overall affect of looking fabulous. For UK crocheters there is a stitch conversion for you. This pattern is very easy to follow with a concise step by step guide showing large images at each step.
I have designed the bag with a front and a back section which are identical. The frilled section is added on after the front and the back sections are joined together. The strap is made as a separate piece and joined to the bag at the end. The strap can be adjusted very easily to the length you want. For this pattern I have used a 10 ply cotton.
