Produktdetails
“Crosstalk” was first used in the late 1800s to describe an electronics phenomenon. It’s found now in a variety of subjects but essentially describes interference in a desired conversation or communication from another channel. Crosstalk is natural choice of name for this scarf knit entirely of crossed cables.
Striped and color block versions of Crosstalk use four design elements to further the usual woven appearance of knitted cables.
• Tabbed Cast-on creates a row of short tabs that suggest the first row of cables are woven bands of knitting extending beyond the edge of the piece.
• I-cord edges in the Cable Pattern neaten the sides of the scarf and reinforce the woven look.
• Cabled Color Changes use simple stranded knitting and the cables themselves to hide the transition. The next color emerges beautifully from behind cables of the last.
• The Tabbed Bind-off has the same effect as the cast-on; that is, short tabs along the last row of cables look like the ends of woven knit bands.
