This shawl was inspired by AnneM's beautiful [Revontuli -huivi/Northern Lights][2]. I love how three dimensional the structure of the stitches makes it look, as if it would fold up like a fan if you pushed on the sides. Since I also love to crochet, I tried to recreate that look in crochet stitches. I owe a debt to a ripple afghan that used to rest on the back of my grandma's couch. Whil
