Can't wait for the Tour de France to start in July! I love to watch the colorful landscape, the cheering crowd, the cyclists, the sunflower fields... So here is the cycle race beanie as baby, toddler version. Preemie sizes are included.
I modified the cyclists to fit on a smaller hat. The beanie has a two color (corrugated ribbing), followed by a tiny sunflower border to represent the sunflower fields the cyclists are passing :)
The bigger version has some clouds in the sky. The smaller one leaves them out. Both versions have a blue sky and the sun at the top.
For preemie sizes use 4-ply sock yarn and 2.5 mm needles. For normal sizes use 4-ply Acrylic or Merino yarn and 3.00 mm needles.
There are at most two colors in one round. So it's easier to knit than you may think!
