Dawn Patrol

Some mornings a dream sparks us into waking early. We rise with the sun, ready to tackle the day with inspiration and imagination. This sweater is for the dawn patrol dreamers.

With a comfy boat neckline, short cap sleeves and relaxed boxy fit, Dawn Patrol can be worn alone or layered over and under for a cozy style.**  **The sweater is worked in the round from the bottom up, with slight waist and bust shaping. The body is then divided and underarm stitches cast off. The front and back are worked separately but identically with short row shoulder shaping. The body is finished with a three needle bind-off at each shoulder. Stitches for cap sleeves are picked up and worked in the round with short row shaping.  While the majority of the sweater is worked in stockinette stitch, there is a row of garter stitch at each edge (waist, neck, and sleeve) to prevent rolling. The side “seams” of the body also feature a few purl stitches to incorporate waist and bust shaping.
