Democrats' Donkey logo pot holder pattern

This is an original pattern for a colourful crocheted double thickness potholder with the instantly recognizable Democrats' logo of an donkey on the front. The reverse is plain blue, and both thicknesses are joined by a double row of crochet in red and white with attractive braid effect in blue.

This pattern is ideal for both beginners and more advanced crocheters, as I have included instructions on all stitches used, together with a detailed description on how to complete your potholder. The stitches used are slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet and double crochet. A 4mm crochet hook is needed.

I have recommended 100% cotton yarn, making it safe to stand warm dishes on, and to protect your hands from burns. Measures 8.75" x 8" (22cm x 20cm)) plus the hanging loop at the top.
