A beautiful shawl knitted from a superb self striping yarn, the Caron Cakes Yarn. So versatile, it is perfect for the summer evenings and can be worn as a cowl in the winter days. So many possibilities!
This pattern is for a women’s shawl that is in a diamond shape, one side will fold over. This design highlights the patterns of the self striping yarns, but it is just as beautiful in a single color, too.
On the ends of the wings you can add a button on one side and make a loop by crocheting a simple chain long enough to close the button on the other side. It will be very nice when wearing it as a cowl in the winter to close the button and it will perfectly keep you warm: not too tight, and not too loose (as pictured in the photos)
Another way to wear it is to close the button under your arms and on the back, to form a lovely shrug to cover your shoulders (as pictured )
