Produktdetails
The Donard shawl, named after the highest peak of the Mourne Mountains here in Northern Ireland, is worked side to side to form a shallow crescent shape. A simple yarn over and cable pattern forms the edge of the shawl and is knit at the same time as the stocking stitch body.
There are directions for two sizes: shawlette and shawl.
The shawlette is a fantastic one skein project and the shawl uses one skein of fingering weight yarn held double with a skein of suri alpaca silk. The pattern has full written instruction with stitch counts and there is a chart for the cable edge pattern.
Finished Measurements: after blocking.
Shawlette: Wingspan 64 inches (163 cm) / Depth at widest point 10 inches (25 cm)
Shawl: Wingspan 82 inches (208 cm) / Depth at widest point 12 inches (30 cm)
Gauge:

Shawl: 22 sts x 25 rows per 4 inches (10 cm) in garter stitch using 4.5 mm (US 7) needle blocked
