Dragon Scales Hot Water Bottle Cover

A woven cable is used to create this scale-like hot water bottle cover. Instructions are included for a 1.75-quart (2-litre) hot water bottle. A side zip can be included to provide easy insertion and removal of the hot water bottle, or alternatively, insert the (rolled-up) hot water bottle through the top opening.

Made using soft DK/8ply yarn (approx. 230 yards); 5mm needles; cable needle; 20cm/8in zipper. Optional: 4mm crochet hook.

Measurements of hot water bottle for reference: 18cm/7in (width); 26cm/10.2in (base to shoulder); 33cm/13in (base to rim).
