A beginner knitting pattern for a lovely traditional baby blanket. Ideal for new knitter and perfect for a baby shower gift.
This easy pattern features a classic 'basket-weave' design with chunky textured borders. It is perfect for baby's first blanket to keep snug in a pram, moses basket, bouncy chair or carrycot.
You can knit the blanket in one piece using circular needles, or in three pieces (and then seam them together) on straight needles.
The pattern is fully reversible and can be knitted in sizes from 75cm x 75cm / 30" x 30" (suitable for a moses basket, buggy or car seat) right up to double bed size.
NEEDLES: 6mm/US size 10 needles. Circular (for one piece blanket) 80cm/30" or Straight 33cm/13" for three piece blanket.
