These mittens come in 4 sizes (0-1 years, 1-2 years, 2-3 years, 3-5 years) with the notes to make both wrist and hand measurements longer and shorter for a personalized fit. The smallest size is knit with no thumb.
These can be knit with any DK weight yarn and the simple stripe pattern uses only a couple yards and is a great stash buster.
The mitten is knitted wrist up as a fingerless mitten and then stitches are picked up from the back of the hand for the flip top to be knitted directly onto the mitt, meaning no seaming up and you can test fit as you go.
