There is no stuffing in this little dog. He is folded in a clever way to make his shape. Only a little sewing is needed to put him together. A good pattern for a beginner knitter.
Suggested 3mm single pointed needles and oddments of any double knitting yarn.
Tension is not important so other needles or yarn could be used. There is minimum sewing and toy stuffing is not needed.
If you want a larger toy then use larger needles and thicker yarn.
